IV POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Please follow these simple instructions to help you derive the full benefit of IV Vitamin and Hydration therapy:

• At the end of your treatment, a bandage will be applied to the IV site. If you bruise easily, leave the dressing on for 1 hour. Otherwise, it can be removed after 15 minutes.
• You may remove the Band Aid over the IV site any time after the next 6 hours
• You may place a cold pack over the IV site for 20 minutes once every two hours over the next 24 hours if you experience discomfort, which is common and normal, and bruising, which is uncommon but also may occur
• If minor bleeding at the IV site apply pressure at site for 10 minutes. If it does not stop, please go to the nearest emergency room while holding pressure on the IV site
• Dermatitis is a mild skin reaction to the adhesive used to secure IV tubing to your arm. If this occurs, it will usually go away on its own within the next day or so, and topical Benadryl may help to expedite the healing process
• Minor infection or irritation of the vein, phlebitis, is a very rare event and is characterized by a red, warm, tender, streak around the IV site. It typically resolves on its own with warm compresses within a few days, however if it progresses to involve a larger area of the arm, and if you have a fever of 101F or notice swelling, redness or warmth at the IV site  go to the emergency room for treatment with antibiotics
• Anaphylaxis is an exceedingly rare allergic reaction that can result in death if left untreated. It typically occurs immediately upon receiving the medication and can begin with sneezing, watery and itchy eyes, tingling and swelling in the throat, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. Please immediately call 911.
• Please notify Jadore Beauty & Aesthetics staff if any of the above occurs

I fully understand and accept the risks and side effects of the IV treatment including a remote possibility of severe allergic reaction and death from undiagnosed allergies to the administered treatment. As such, I agree in no way to hold Jadore Beauty & Aesthetics and its licensed healthcare providers and employees responsible for any consequences and subsequent costs for medical care including, but not limited to ambulance transport and/or hospitalization cost that may result from the above treatment. I acknowledge I have read and fully understood these instructions and have had ample opportunity to ask Jadore Beauty & Aesthetics staff any questions pertaining to my therapy.
