What is Face Rejuvenation?
Botox®, Jeuveau®, and Dysport® are created from bacteria, specifically the botulinum toxin. While all of our neurotoxins are FDA approved, Botox® has been FDA approved since 1989. It is injected in very small doses with an ultra fine needle and most people report a pinching sensation rather than pain. Neurotoxins are injected into specific muscles to help correct a person’s eyebrow lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, and more. The toxin prevents your body’s nerve signals from reaching the muscles. This prevents you from making exaggerated facial expressions and stopping the contractions and movements that play a major role in the development of fine lines and wrinkles.

Is Face Rejuvenation Safe?
Botox®, Jeuveau®, and Dysport® injections have been thoroughly tested and are approved by theFDA. Major adverse reactions are very rare. The most common side effects are temporary bruising, swelling, or redness at injection site(s). Our nurse practitioner will discuss pre and post care before the treatment to help reduce risks. It is best to avoid alcohol, NSAIDs, blood thinners, or herbal supplements 24 hours before your treatment to reduce bruising. It is advised to avoid rubbing/massaging any treated areas, engaging in exercise, saunas, or any activity that will increase circulation for the 24 hours following treatment as the botulinum toxin can spread from the treated area and potentially cause facial drooping and weakness.
How Long My Results Will Last?
Botox®, Jeuveau®, and Dysport® can last up to 4 months. Botox® and Jeuveau® will take seven to ten days for treatment to set in whereas Dysport® can set in within 3-5 days making it a good option for people who need results quicker. Results will vary with each individual based on their unique metabolism and lifestyle.
After the neurotoxins have been metabolized out of the body the previous lines and wrinkles may return so maintenance neurotoxin is recommended every 3-4 months.
